Last year, Bishop Kearney High School closed.

Yesterday, they removed the green “K” Kearney sign. Today, they removed the cross from the building.

The Blessed Mother was still up on 60th Street corner. Monsignor Cassato said that it will be moved over to St Athanasius School.

If you went there you know, it was a special place with a lot of amazing people AND:

Bishop Kearney High School was open from 1961 – 2019.  The building is on the corner of Bay Parkway and 60th Street.

I graduated from Kearney 1981. This is so sad. I can only hope this building be put to good use.

Went there. Loved it. Do you know what is going on with the building? I figured the public school on the same block would rent it. Who knows now?
