Szuszkiewicz is Running Against Frontus

Mark Szuszkiewicz announced himself as the Republican candidate running for Mathlyde Frontus’ Assembly seat.
If Szuszkiewicz was running against Gounardes, I think he would have a real shot. But Mathylde Frontus did her job and is an honest player.
Mathylde Frontus has been the leader she said she would be. It was easy for her because she was already a leader in Coney Island. At the height of her pandemic, Frontus acted before other electeds. Mathylde was delivering food to seniors and masks/hand sanitizer to anyone who needed it.
Mathylde hasn’t loaded our papers with press releases. She’s made common sense bills. Mathylde divided money equitably between the two gerrymandered neighborhoods in her district. And finally, Frontus has had no connection with developers…thank God!

I replied to this earlier and you never posted my reply. You mention the delivering food as if that’s a qualification for a legislator. Someone who works for postmates is qualified to do that. You mention gerrymandering as if it’s something that’s not done by her democrat party. You mention that she doesn’t take money from developers as if I do. From day 1 I’ve had on my website and have been speaking about funding affordable housing with municipal bonds and getting rid of 15 year tax abatements for developers. Developers wouldn’t even think about donating to my campaign. You said she made common sense bills but I’m not aware of a single one that she’s ever written. She may have voted on some, but can you name one that was her idea? You discussed the debate with Vito Bruno but you were completely silent about mine. You mention that she doesn’t flood the papers with press releases as if it’s a good thing. She hasn’t spoken out against Cuomo or De Blasio and just stays silent. We need someone that’s not afraid to speak to the press and fight back against the policies that are destroying our city. This is going to be a close race and you’ve been backing the wrong candidate because it will be more of the same of nothing getting done if she wins again. She’s a very good person but she’s not the better person for the job.

When Frontus was the first one, yes she was going door-to-door before most legislators left their sofa. Yes, that works for me. Postmates doesn’t have to do it.
While some other politicians are taking money, she has not. You would have beat her up for it at the debate if she did.
While other pols load the papers, she doesn’t play that game. If you lived in Bay Ridge and read the local papers, you would see what I mean.
I didn’t talk about your debate – that is correct. I started the entry but didn’t finish it. Something mentioned at the debate had something that involves a deeper discussion. It doesn’t involve you though.
I thought you did well at the debate. Too bad you aren’t running for a different position (and that you didn’t annoy me by taking down her sign).
