If Neighborhood Policing Isn’t Working For You….
In some areas, neighborhood policing works.
In the 61st Precinct, you see police cars driving around all the time.
In the 68th precinct, it doesn’t work because police officers aren’t on the street and it takes hours for the police to respond (or sometimes not respond at all as we saw in December this year).
This week, residents called the police because of an incident near their place. After an hour, they contacted Justin Brannan….the police came after Brannan alerted them.
Last year we saw a parent wait three hours for the police. They contacted Brannan and the police responded. NO ONE SHOULD NEED TO CONTACT THE COUNCILMAN TO GET THE POLICE TO RESPOND. More info here
This meeting is to let them know. March 16th at 7:00 pm at Maimonides Hospital 4810 – 10th Avenue.
Hugs,
marlene
