Sunset Park Shooting-Man Found at 68th St.
Loudlabs Video
Early this morning, a man was shot on 6th Avenue and 47th Street by someone he knew. Loudlabs video journalist shared that the 911 caller said they heard 5-6 gunshots.
A 911 call was made and the police went to 68th and 4th Avenue and found the man around 6:10 am. He was shot, but the police were able to talk with him. The man was brought to NYU (Lutheran) hospital.
This did not happen in Bay Ridge, so don’t overreact and say, “What happened to neighborhood?” Stupid shootings after a night of drinking have gone on between people who have known each other in Sunset Park for years (that’s why some people can’t have guns).
Ironically, the 72nd Precinct in Sunset Park did a crime prevention initiative last night (more pics here). Maybe they should avoid those because it triggers some people to act out.
There are a lot of police cars in Bay Ridge this morning.
Hugs,
marlene
