Gerard Kassar Becomes NYS Conservative Leader

Last month, Mike Long stepped down.  The NYS Conservative Party announced today that Gerard Kassar won the election for the NYS Conservative Party Leader. But it was a strange election so see  this site for more info about the election (read the comments as well).

See pic here and here.

See Jerry’s bio here…..it didn’t mention that Kassar uses placeholder candidate politics.

While you may not be a Conservative, it is important to note Jerry isn’t known for promoting great candidates for office in our community. This past November, Kassar pushed Steve Saperstein, Nicole Malliotakis and Marty Golden. While all of these people may have suggested to him that they have conservative values, they didn’t have good values for our community:

a) Steve Saperstein – Steve admitted at the Xaverian debate that he accepted money from developers. While some Conservatives may like that, Brooklyniteso know we don’t need a developer-owned candidate.

b) Nicole Malliotakis – Malliotakis spends her time fighting the mayor on social media.  Yes, he’s a bad mayor, but she lost to him big….so she should move on.  Malliotakis bill

c) Marty Golden –  enough said.

The November before last, Kassar endorsed this man who was supported by a Superpac.

If Jerry supported better candidates for this community, the Conservative Party would get more support here, but I don’t think he cares about that.

Mike Long of the Conservative Party accepted money from the NRA. Kassar said the Brooklyn Conservative Party did not accept money from the NRA. We are hoping to see Kassar return or donate the NRA’s money. Since the Conservative Party headquarters is in Bay Ridge, Gerad Kassar should respect the family values of this community. Kassar doesn’t need to use the NRA’s money for nonsense.
