Marty Markowitz – Do You Know How To Use Money?
Before someone runs for office, they should show that they know how to spend and save money. The Brooklyn Paper recently brought to our attention filings that were posted on the Campaign Finance Board website. The writer brought forth that Brooklyn Borough President, Marty Markowitz spent almost $6,000 (yes, SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS) on chocolates. Yes, it’s great chocolate from Brooklyn’s well known sweet shop in DUMBO, Jacques Torres Chocolate, but still it’s SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS. If Markowitz wants to spend that money so frivolously, then why doesn’t he spend his own money for the chocolates? Why not spend the campaign money on important things that were needed in the office?
I just don’t get how money was so frivolously spent.

How much chocolate can you get for $6,000 and what does he do with it? That is ridiculous! Seems like chocolate would fill half my house for that money!
