Matthew Cordle confessed to drunk driving. It is probably one of the most moving videos I have seen. He didn’t take the easy route because doing so would say that Vincent Canzani’s life didn’t matter.
I’ve been in a car twice with a drunk driver. Once as a child and once as a young woman. As a child I had no control over the situation. An accident resulted, but I was too small to remember what happened. I won’t write what I was told happened because it’s not good to retell a story online.
As a young woman in my twenties, I got into a car with an inebriated driver. It was the scariest ride of my life. I put my own life at risk and I didn’t stop someone else from driving either. I KNEW BETTER and I am lucky that person didn’t kill me or anyone else. Not one of my proudest moments. After that, I never stepped into a car with someone who even had one drink. People are valuable.

I remember one night we were at Cliff and Maureen’s house and you told his teenage daughter to call you if she was drinking. You told her not to try to estimate if she was drunk, but that if she picked up more than one to call you – no questions.
That night I knew you were going to be our son’s godmother (even though he wasn’t even born yet).

Great story! I would do the same for any of your kids….and I wouldn’t tell ya about it either because I give my word to the kids and my word means something. ;)
Two weeks from now are you free? Halloween needs to be set up and I was hoping you would help Lee and the kids. :)
