See Dr. Mathylde Frontus and Ethan Lustig-Elgrably Debate

Bklyner held a debate tonight the open NY Assembly seat that Pam Harris due to her arrest for fraud. Kadia Goba is a great moderator.  See the debate here.

Ethan spent most of the evening fidgeting.

Most Noteable:

a)  Ethan Lustig-Elgrably adjusted his tie any time Mathylde Frontus made a great statement. As she shared her history of  serving, leading and problem-solving in South Brooklyn, Ethan seemed very uncomfortable.

b) Ethan shouldn’t have accepted the debate. Ethan showed how inexperienced he was next to Dr. Frontus. Lustig-Elgrably took credit for being on Mark Treyger’s staff, but he didn’t have any accomplishments outside of his paid position. Ethan only wants to take credit for some things – not this snafu.

c) Ethan knows Dr. Frontus and her work. Even Ethan must realize she is the candidate the community needs.

d) Dr. Frontus’ face couldn’t hide how we all felt while Ethan was talking.  LOL.

e) Ethan’s closing remarks were read from his paper. He had a lot of difficulty speaking. Cringeworthy!

f) Ethan’s presentation skills need help – he did a lot of pointing while he spoke (like Mark Treyger does). He also continuously moved his hands and it was very distracting. Here it looks like he is pointing to someone or calling on someone – NOPE…he’s just speaking and throwing his hands all over.

g) Ethan left his job at Treyger’s office – if Lustig-Elgrably was so passionate about the job, he wouldn’t have left.  If Ethan loved Coney Island, then he would have become involved in something in Coney Island outside of his job the help Coney Island (really anything!) after he left Treyger’s office.

h) I spy a some of the same people from Pam Harris’ team in the front row.  How are you doing?

Dr. Mathylde Frontus shared about her life in Coney Island. Her family moved to Coney Island when she was seven years old. Dr. Frontus attended Edward R. Murrow High School and started college at age 16. Dr. Frontus has shown leadership in her programs for teenagers at different.

People cheered when Dr. Frontus said we can win without the establishment.  Remember Nancy Tong lost last November while she was endorsed by the same group.

Mathylde’s love of the area and her passion for helping others made her want to stay in Coney Island. She wants to bring a robust job training program to the area. We are excited about her plans for our area and her commitment for bringing transparency to the area.

Hugs,
marlene
