Democrats Do What Marty Golden Failed To Do
Marty Golden failed to get a the street camera bill passed. Why is Marty Golden being blamed? Golden backed the original bill and then backtracked and introduced a weaker bill, instead of the state senators voting on the bill that the NY Assembly passed.
Mayor de Blasio, Governor Cuomo and NYC Council came together and passed a bill to put the cameras back on for the first day of school, September 8th.
Here’s the saddest statement from the article…..Marty Golden said, “There will be a ticket issued, and someone will sue saying it is illegal. The state will lose, there will be confusion, and that will cause distraction to the fact our children will still not have the protection of speed cameras.”
The most important part is: MARTY GOLDEN BELIEVES THAT THE SPEED CAMERAS OFFER CHILDREN PROTECTION……and he did nothing to get them back on all Summer.
There’s no reason for Marty Golden to represent Bay Ridge any longer. Golden’s an ineffective leader and all Summer long we had to hear about the bill that he didn’t pass. Golden couldn’t get Flanagan to reconvene the Senate this Summer.
