Corey Johnson’s Tweet About Mark Treyger Leaves Out So Much…..
It’s amazing how a tweet could make someone sound like hero.
Yet, there was so much left out………and Treyger is no hero in situation.
A young woman was allegedly raped by two NYPD officers in Mark Treyger’s area – Chipotle Parking lot 2940 Cropsey Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11214 – see representative here. Afterwards, the police officer claimed this was consensual sex in a police van during working hours.
No local paper reported this in Bay Ridge, but the officers drove to Bay Ridge and switched places. (NY Times).
Mark Treyger lives in a gated community in SeaGate. And this is the problem for that community because they will never receive what they need when their Councilman lives behind a gate away from him.
Corey Johnson may or may not know this, but it’s something Brooklyn residents need to know. Why? Because money isn’t used for security in that area. Treyger’s money goes predominately to not-for-profits who helped him get re-elected. But the area needs more protection.
The culture of the NYPD in that area is wrong and has never been addressed by Councilman Treyger. For this situation, this saying fits: “You can’t close the gate when the horses have bolted.” More here and here.
Treyger is often chasing after issues in his area rather than being proactive towards them. What does that mean? Treyger wanted to get air conditioning for schools when it was almost Fall.
Treyger wanted control so he pushed Pam Harris on our area. And we saw Pam isn’t able to represent our area because she is indicted on fraud. Harris didn’t even show up to vote against this bill involving the police: “Relates to establishing incapacity to consent when a person is under arrest, detention or otherwise in actual custody.” And Treyger has not asked Harris to step down.
Hopefully Brooklyn is done with Treyger this year as he is owned and he continues to blame the past representative, even though Treyger has been in office for many years now.
Hugs,
marlene
