Why is Traffic Terrible in Bay Ridge? March 2, 2018
Traffic in Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights is terrible tonight because there are two over-turned trucks on the Upper Level of the Verrazano Bridge. The wind from the storm was so strong that trucks fell over. As a result, the closed the top level of the bridge.
Only cars are allowed on the lower level of the Verrazano so everything is backed up in our area because traffic was rerouted. Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights is crowded and bumper to bumper like last Spring. Many people sat for over an hour in traffic just traveling in the neighborhood
Pro-tip: Shore Road was c lear all the way down. Marine and Eidge Blvd. were not.
