Big Cleanout
A friend of mine asked me to help clean out her place. Before I went, I told another friend that I would probably throw out 80 – 85% of the items in her place. She has a lot of old junk there. I’ve seen it while visiting and in my mind, I thought about telling her to throw it away. But never did.
So when she asked me to help him organize and arrange his place, I was thrilled. Yeah I like organizing.
I went there and she wouldn’t let me throw things away. She is seriously connected to her junk. I went there at 2:00 pm and I came home at 10 pm. During dinner, we discussed letting go of things and not being so attached to old items. Today she called and told me she is ready so I am returning on Wednesday to fill 10 large garbage bags.
I’m attached to some of my stuff too, but definitely not to old broken items.

I should hire you to help my dad organize. He has so much stuff, it drives my stepmom crazy!! At least she makes him keep it all in the garage and their house looks “normal”. Being a packrat is a hard habit to break!
