Parking Near Barclay Center – Cheaper – Tips Brooklyn

Now that Barclay Center opened and people are going to have events there, parking is an issue. Everyone knew parking was going to be an issue years before this was build. It’s best to take the train (the R train isn’t bad coming from Bay Ridge)  if you want to avoid the crowded and expensive parking lot.   If you do decide to take your car (as we do), then here are some places to look for parking:

 

1) Park a few blocks away – stay away from the Park Slope side as that is always busy, Make a left on Pacific Street and drive away from Barclays down toward 3rd and Atlantic Avenue (there’s a Walgreens on one corner and Roulette Art and Music School on there other)  there is always parking there.  4th and 5th Avenue sometimes have parking as well.
2)   If you don’t find parking on the street u could always go into the mall. It’s about $10 for three hours

3)  There’s a parking garage, on Ft.  Greene Place, right across from Barclays.

4) If you take the train there and grab a taxi home to Bay Ridge, it wouldn’t be anywhere close to $30!
