For Two Months, Kayla Santosuosso Was Silent About Zoning. Today, She Posted a Video Saying Nothing New!
Kayla Santosuosso, the woman representing Bay Ridge in NYC Council made a video at different locations in Bay Ridge announcing she has a plan for zoning.
Her video doesn’t contain any new information. Politicians here just like to post photos and videos of themselves to fool us into thinking they are working for the community. Video: https://shorturl.at/UYkya
On June 8th, two NYC Council Land Use Division representatives told Community Board 10 in Bay Ridge that more housing needs to be added, but softened the news by saying that public meetings would be held to discuss what type of housing would be added to the area. Over the Summer, we should have heard from Kayla.
Essentially developers are going to be winning in our area because of the new Fast Track Process (see chart above). The new laws allow developers to build faster.
Housing hasn’t been added to our area on a regular basis. Kayla Santosuosso is not telling us that Justin Brannan and others didn’t negotiate to add the necessary housing while each were in office.
On Instagram, YIMBY’s didn’t bother listening to the whole video of Santosuosso. If they listened, they would have asked “Why is their a video about a new plan, but no plan is mentioned in the video? https://www.instagram.com/p/Dc1WG6MKbLl
