What Was Mike DeCillis’ Last Job?

Mike DeCillis was on ballot for Congress for District 11. His opponent, Allison Ziogas backed out of the election, but her name remained on the ballot. So people were “congratulating him” and saying he was police officer and EMS worker.
Mike DeCillis hasn’t been a police officer or EMS worker for MANY YEARS.

When Justin Brannan wrote this on social media, Mike DeCillis was silent. Mike didn’t respond and speak up for the police. Let’s be honest here!

The last position I have known him to have was being the attorney for redistricting Brooklyn! Yes, you can thank Mike for the the new district lines that divided and weakened our community. When I spoke about gerrymandering in Brooklyn on social media, Mike DeCillis was silent even while he was following my account!
I wrote this about DeCillis when I found out that he was on the Redistricting Committee and didn’t speak up for Bay Ridge:
Before his redistricting job, DeCillis lost an election to Max Rose and then took a position as Chief-of-Staff to NYS Assemblywoman Mathylde Frontus. He has that job on his website. See: https://www.decillisforcongress.com/

Even Mike DeCillis doesn’t want to tell Brooklyn and Staten Island what his last job! Mathylde Frontus hasn’t been in office since December 31, 2022. I believe that Mike DeCillis resigned as her chief-of-staff at least a year before that (maybe more – let me see if I can find the actual date).
The failure to list his job on the NY Redistricting Committee says a lot about Mike DeCillis. Let’s see if we have a news outlet that writes about DeCillis’ career and includes this. The Staten Advance lists him as a first responder:

Another thing that is unclear is where DeCillis lives. On his website, Mike says he is a third-generation Staten Islander. There is no mention of Bay Ridge.

That could explain why DeCillis never spoke out against corruption in Bay Ridge! The only time we saw Mike was in photographs with politicians. Where was Mike when the Nathan’s school (and other school fiasco’s went down in Bay Ridge? When our Bay Ridge neighbors had to deal with squatters, Mike DeCillis didn’t speak up. Where was Mike when the Angel Guardian deal went down? Mike was silent as Justin Brannan carved his home out of the City of Yes and then voted for it. And when Justin Brannan demapped Coney Island, there was no Mike DeCillis speaking up for that gerrymandered community either.
On May 20, 2026, Meagan McGibney wrote that Mike DeCillis has lived in Bay Ridge for 14 years.

When I went to look up when Mike DeCillis stopped working for Mathylde Frontus, I found his name listed as Alfred M. DeCillis: Page 113
