Community Board 10 ‘s Police and Public Safety Committee….Needs to Be Renamed

On Tuesday, May 12th at 6:30 pm, Community Board 10 is having a Police and Public Safety Meeting at the District Office.

CB 10 only shared the agenda for this meeting late this evening on 5/11/26:

Why would there be an hour long CPR class at Community Board 10’s meeting about public safety?

If someone wanted to take a CPR class, they would register for a CPR class!

There were two rapes in Bay Ridge in the last 28 days (three since January 2026 started). Why is that not on the agenda?

You can see the crime rates for the 68th Precinct here:

https://compstat.nypdonline.org

On Thursday, April 30th at 4;00 am, a rape was reported here:

On Wednesday, April 22nd, Rape 3 was reported at 11:00 pm here:

Whoever is head of this committee should resign today because you are not helping the people in Bay Ridge. YOU DON’T CARE THAT PEOPLE ARE BEING HURT.

Whoever put together the silly agenda -> resign. Let someone who cares about Bay Ridge do the agenda for the CB 10 meeting. WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT DON’T CARE?

Vehicles are being stolen around the neighborhood. Since January 1, 2026, 62 vehicles have been stolen. At the same time last year, 34 vehicles had been stolen.

Council representative Kayla Santosuosso does not care – she didn’t even mention the thefts!

The 68th Precinct isn’t making any changes. That is a discussion for a Community Board 10 meeting.

Maybe our community needs to invest in some security to keep things safe at night?!

This man is living on 5th Avenue and no one is helping him. See here:

The liquor license discusions are a waste of time because almost every liquor license has been approved.

Make a liquor license committee and transfer those CB 10 members to it…there has to be someone on CB 10 who wants to talk about public safety in our community.

Hugs,
marlene
