Full Stop Work Order at 2501 – 86th Street Homeless Shelter

Anthony A. shared that NYC Stop Work orders were posted on April 14th for the homeless shelter location at 2501 – 86th Street in Brooklyn.

On April 9th, Councilwoman Susan Zhuang shared that she contacted the DEP when Brooklynites said they saw asbestos at the site. Info:

Stop Work Order at 2501 – 86th Street – The Homeless Shelter

NYC Building Department’s Stop Work order was issued because of the DEP Stop Work order. Now the developer has to show an asbestos report and a written scope of the work.

    Thank you for your hard work. Do you know about the shelter they want to build on 65 th and 3 rd avenue? It is ridiculous! What can we do? If only they would understand why we want then relocated
