Update: The police have arrested a 23-year-old driver from Staten Island. The damaged car was parked at his home. See:

Two men were killed at 4:30 am while crossing 3rd Avenue and 52nd Street in Sunset Park. The two men are 80-year-old Kex Un Chen and 59-year-old Faqiu Lin. The 21-year-old driving the dark gray BMW did not stop.

Transalt revealed this area of Sunset Park has been unsafe for years. Senator Andrew Gounardes represents the area and has never mentioned it. Why does Gounardes play on X (formerly Twitter) instead of taking care of problems in the community?
