Andrew Gounardes Doesn’t Know What’s Going in Schools – So He Wrote an Out-of-Date Letter
Today, Senator Andrew Gounardes shared a letter that he wrote on October 31, 2024 to the new NYC Chancellor about banning cell phones.
Parents purchase cell phones so they can contact and track their child. That added layer of security while children travel to school alone is necessary.
Schools across the city created their own cell phone policies. Students and families help form those policies and agreed to them by October 31st. Why doesn’t Senator Gounardes know this? He’s an out-of-touch legislature!
Here’s Gounardes’ letter not understanding. It shows Gounardes doesn’t understand schools or that there is a way for cell phones to be brought to school, but not used.
