Congratulations on Your New Home, Andrew Gounardes! Will He Make Property Tax Reform?

Congratulations to Andrew Gounardes and his wife on their new home in Bay Ridge.
It’s strange that not one person congratulated the couple on social media.
You can see this on Acris. (Here)
The real estate office posted that the house went into contract in April. In April, the newspaper printed that Andrew Gounardes changed his vote on Good Cause Eviction after protesters threatened to go to Andrew’s house if he didn’t sign. (Source)
Did the socialists know about Gounardes’ new home?

Will Gounardes pay high property taxes in 2024? It appears he will.
Before taking office in 2019, Andrew Gounardes ran on a platform where he told constituents he was going to change the property taxes.
It’s over four years later and Gounardes has shown he is not a man of integrity. This year, he didn’t even try to do anything about property taxes.
The new gerrymandered district that Bay Ridge was forced into has a lot of people paying low property taxes at the other side of the district, so Gounardes did not push any property tax reform AT ALL this year.
In 2019, Andrew delayed taking action because he said he was waiting for the property tax commission. (Video) The Commission returned it’s results the following year and Gounardes did nothing.
After the first year of no action, Andrew Gounardes messaged me that he would get it done the following year.
This year Gounardes was focused on passing Congestion Pricing, rather than helping his community. Gounardes also voted to give himself a raise. (Info)
In prior years, Gounardes pushed for the red light cameras that Justin Brannan was lobbied for. (Info) Gounardes accepted a donation from the company, American Traffic Solutions. (Info)

The last page of his documents shows a federal credit union was used and the sheet says that there is tax exemption….but it’s not property taxes.
Hugs,
marlene
