Yelena Gervolskaya Killed – 2 Hit & Run Vehicles
Near 10:25 am this morning, Yelena Gervolskaya, a 75-year-old woman was hit while crossing the street at Shore Parkway and West Sixth Street.
“Eyewitnesses said a dump truck was making a left turn onto Shell Road while the 75-year-old victim was crossing the street, striking her and pinning her under the vehicle.” (Source)
Then a black Jeep Grand Cherokee ran over the woman and did not stop. How awful!
The Citizen App shows accidents, but it doesn’t touch on how horrible an accident is. (See Citizen)
The Coney Island woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The penalty for a hit and run is too low in NY.
RIP Yelena Gervolskaya….Prayers for this woman’s family, who will be devastated by this death news and the callousness of the two two drivers to their mother, grandmother, sister, friend, etc.
