Problem on 68th Street & 5th Avenue – 68th Precinct Responded
A brave Bay Ridge mother shared what happened on her block today. It’s not good, but the 68th Precinct police responded well.
A man was threatening his girlfriend around 4:00 pm today on 68th Street and 5th Avenue. The man brandished a gun and the woman pleaded with him not to shoot her. The Citizen App has video of the police at the scene here.
While the couple were arguing, this mother guided her son to get past them. She called 911 and the 68th Precinct responded. She was able to share footage with the police and she was told other people called it in too. She believed the 68th Precinct caught up with the man.
The mother went on social media, shared the situation and thanked the 68th Precinct. Thank you to this great neighbor for taking action for Bay Ridge. Thank you for sharing the situation and the police’s fast response!
