Bay Ridge Goes Green Online Auction on November 19th For Grandma’s Love

Some Ridgites with green thumbs are holding a plant auction on November 19th to benefit Grandma’s Love.

The online auction made by Bay Ridge Goes Green is such a kind gesture from our sweet green thumb neighbors. To see the items being auctioned – join this group (Share this link with your friends)

*Grandma’s Love is an amazing organization because Theresa Monforte-Caraballo makes sure that children and their families are supported. Backpacks with food are sent home with children weekly.

The pandemic hurt a lot of families. Grandma’s Love has been making sure that children have Thanksgiving dinner, a present at Christmas, warm Winter gear and other essentials.

The plants are healthy because these neighbors love gardening! The group has put up succulents, potted plants, cuttings, pots and other beautiful items, like organic honey:

Many items have low bids of $1, $3 and $5. The highest item I saw was $15. The bidding starts on Saturday morning at 9:00 am.

The best part of this auction –> All money raised will be matched – so Grandma’s Love gets twice as much money!!
This year, we took a lot of our plants inside, so I asked if they will accept donations through paypal or venmo and they said yes!
If you were thinking of sponsoring a family in our area for Thanksgiving Dinner, this would be a good time!

Bay Ridge Go Green – thank you for having this auction and inviting the community to support a wonderful organization which is helping families in Brooklyn!
.
Hugs,
marlene
