Suspect in Police Custody Over Abduction – Three Officers Hurt in Dyker Heights – Not Life Threatening
A woman was abducted in Long Island and the police from Suffolk County, Long Island by her boyfriend. The 33-year-old man forced her into the car and drove towards NYC.
The Nassau County Police were chasing the car on the Belt Parkway. By 10:35, they passed Flatbush Avenue. The Verrazano Bridge was shut down. The man exited the Belt Parkway on Exit 4.

Many police cars covered 86th Street and were able to stop the man’s car on 12th Avenue around 11:00 pm. They took the suspect into custody. That’s great news!! (See info)
Three police officers had injuries (from the collision). Two other police officers were also sent to the hospital. All police officers were treated and left the hospital.
The suspect remains at the hospital.
The NYPD helicopter was flying around Dyker Heights for a long time tonight.
Three police officers were injured, but thankfully their injuries are not life-threatening.
