Asylum Seekers in Staten Island Need Help And NYC Is Responding
Some asylum seekers that were sent to NYC are being housed at the Comfort Inn Hotel in Staten Island (which is better than making them live in the outdoor tent cities they put up. (Info here))
The newspaper says those families are going door-to-door asking for food, clothing and work. (See news) They are on an island and can’t get around, like they could if they were in Manhattan.
One Ridgite shared that she brought jackets over to the hotel.

Politico reported that the mayor may dock a cruise ship for asylum seekers in Staten Island. (See here)
