Music From SI is Keeping Bay Ridge Awake

For a past two months on Friday ad Saturday nights, Bay Ridge residents living near Shore Road in the 70’s – 90’s can’t sleep because music is blaring at 4:00 am or 5:00 am.
This weekend, some Ridgites noticed that the music was getting stronger and the sound was reaching as far as 3rd Avenue, as well as causing more vibration in their homes!
People called 311 and their calls were closed minutes after they were reported, while the music continues playing.
Ridgites have complained to the police and councilman, but the music continues because no one has found the music’s location.
One sleep-deprived Ridgite became so frustrated after the complaints about the noise have gone unanswered, he drove to find the origin of the music.
The Ridgite recorded the sound – it’s really loud in Bay Ridge! They are not exaggerating.
Many thought a cruiseship passing by Bay Ridge was causing the noise – it’s not!
The Ridgite shared that the music is coming from the Clifton public parking lot in Staten Island, which is across the water from Shore Road Park.

The music is loud in Staten Island too, but that area is industrial so it isn’t bothering people.
Hopefully, that information can help Ridgites get help and they can get a good night’s sleep again.
