Councilwoman Vernikov Stood Up Against Hate

The word Hitler was graffitied on the side of the Congregation Beth Shalom of Kings Bay synagogue at 2710 Avenue X in Brooklyn. (See here)

Councilwoman Inna Vernikov was quick to speak out for her community in Brooklyn (as usual).
? HITLER ? Is the message Holocaust Survivors who saw and experienced the atrocities of WWII have have to see at Congregation Bet Shalom this morning when they go to pray. Happening right here in our own backyards. America in 2022. pic.twitter.com/kL8sDIhlTp

She said: “There are Holocaust survivors who attend this shul and now have to come to a synagogue and see a Hitler sign on the wall.”
After Hate graffiti was sprayed on A synagogue in our community our units took time off from work to remove it so people should not have to see it and live in fear #noplaceforhate . Thanking @NYPD61Pct @NYPDHateCrimes for their fast response pic.twitter.com/44N6E7FgFG
