Many Palestinian families in our community will be able to relate to this movie as it tells the story of a young Palestinian boy living in the West Bank in the 1980s, whose coming of age is interrupted by resistance and loss. His mother, Hanan, carries the story back to 1948, to the Nakba, when her family was forced from their home.
