Leases to Three NYC Properties on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge Are Up for Auction Online in March

I’m surprised that the Bay Ridge BID didn’t share these property lease auctions. Leases to three city-controlled properties under the municipal parking lot near 86th St on 5th Ave in Bay Ridge are up for auction:
1) 8509 – 5th Avenue. This was Dunkin Donuts (Info and bid here for the 5 year lease)

2) 8511 – 5th Avenue – 5 Year Lease (Bid here) This was where the amazing card store was (I loved that store!) The last time this building was used was during Covid (people were tested for Covid here).

3) 8515 – 5th Avenue (the corner property that was Chase Bank) (Info and Bid here)
Why did it take NYC so long to offer these leases? Leaving them empty has made that area look terrible (while across the street, every storefront is filled).
Hugs,
marlene
