Things for Parents and Kids to Do On New Year’s Eve in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn

There are plenty of New Years parties for adults, but what is there to do if you are a parents and have kids – what can you do in Bay Ridge or nearby in Brooklyn to celebrate the new year?
IF your kids are young, have a celebration early! If your kids are older and can stay up to 12:00 am, scroll down for ideas below.
Small Children
1) Create party hats at the Mill Basin Library 2385 Ralph Avenue from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. For ages 6-12. Free.

2) Good Day Play Cafe at 591- 5th Avenue in Park Slope. Ring in the new year with a ball drop at noon! $48.99 per child (Includes: hot xocoa or juice box, pizza for kids and open play)

3) 390 Social at 390 – 5th Avenue in Park Slope (between 6th and 7th Avenue) is having a children’s New Year’s Eve Party from 12:00 – 2:00 pm and then again from 3:00 – 5:00 pm. $20 per child. (Get ticket here)

4) Fort Greene Park Upcycling Nature Crafts for Kids from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm. (Free)

5) Randolph Beer 82 Prospect Street in Dumbo has classic arcade games, pinball, skeetball, a picture booth and food. They welcome kids for NYE.

6) Long Island Children’s Museum New Years Countdown from 11:00 – 4:00 pm (Info)

7) Threes Brewing Family Friendly Balloon Drop at 333 Douglass Street from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. 718-568-9673

8) Karaoke from 5 – 8 pm at Vineapple Cafe in Brooklyn Heights (Reserve here)

9) Dave and Busters at 625 Atlantic Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn has a children’s NYE Party each year. (See here)

- Go to Prospect Park – Grand Army Plaza drone show from 10:00 pm – 12:00 am (Sign up here)

- New Year’s Eve Bike Ride – The annual New Year’s Eve Bike Ride! Start the year off right- on your bike or skates! Three meet-up locations: 9:45pm at the Brooklyn-side entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge; 10:00pm at Washington Square Park Arch, Manhattan; 10:20pm at Madison Square Park, 23rd & Broadway, Flatiron side. We’ll be riding up to Belvedere Castle, where we will have our after-party, in the middle of Central Park for the best (and free)! New Year’s Eve dance party in town, with fireworks!
