Will Crime Go Up Near The Homeless Shelter on 86th Street and 25th Avenue?
The people living near the location for the proposed homeless shelter on 86th Street and 25th Avenue are worried that they won’t be safe in their community.

In the video, they said that the newspaper reported that crime around a homeless shelter increased by 17%. This article states that there is more crime near shelters in NYC. (Source)
Why was this area chosen 150 men, instead of families to be housed? I think the neighborhood would be a lot more accepting of a homeless shelter for families.
