1) The 3rd Avenue Merchants will have a tree lighting outside of Foodtown from 3:30 – 5:30 pm. Performances. hot chocolate and snacks, grinch and wreath contest. Free.
Tuesday, December 3, 2024
1) Christmas Tree Lighting at John Paul Jones Park on 101st Street and 4th Avenue at 6:00 pm. Music, Santa and light refreshments. Free.
Wednesday, December 4th
1) Owl’s Head Christmas Tree Lighting at 6:00 pm. Music, snacks and gifts for the children. Owls Head Park is on 68th Street between Colonial Rd. and Shore Road. Free.
2) Senator Andrew Gounardes is having a tree lighting in Dyker Park on 86th Street and 14th Avenue at 6:00 pm. I guess he didn’t want to go to one of the tree lightings so he overbooked (see event above). Free.
Friday, December 6th
1) Sunset Park Tree Lighting on 60th Street and 4th Avenue from 3:00 – 6:00 pm.
2) Fort Hamilton Army Base Holiday Market and Tree Lighting 4:00 – 8:00 pm. ** Tree Lighting is at 5:30 pm.**
The Holiday Market & Tree Lighting event at the Fort Hamilton Army Base will be on Friday, December 1st from 4pm to 8pm. The event is FREE with registration & a valid ID. Since it is on the Army Base, you have to register. They have a Santa for photos. (Register here)

1) Saint Anselm Church on 4th Avenue and 82nd Street – tree lighting after the 5:00 mass.
2) St . Ephrem’s tree lighting.
3) Our Lady of Angels Church.
4) St. Athanasius Church tree lighting is after the 4:45 pm mass.
Sunday, December 8th
1) St. Dominic’s Church Tree Lighting after the 6:00 pm mass.

1) Our Lady of Guadalupe Tree Lighting at 7201 – 15th Avenue at 7:00 pm.
Friday, December 20, 2024
1) 5th Avenue Tree Lighting at 7428 – 5th Avenue at 5:00. Santa, hot cocoa and cookies. Free goodie bag too.
