Heads Up Dyker Heights – You Have Visitors
This morning, two women were going door-to-door in Dyker Heights. One resident heard their dog barking and went to the front door. She spoke through the window to find out why the women were on her stoop. They asked if anyone was deaf or hard of hearing in the house.
The Brooklyn resident asked the women to please leave and they responded, “we need to know if anyone is deaf or hard of hearing.” These could be pushy salespeople for an earpiece, but it’s a strange visit on Sunday morning.
Last night there was a driveway visitor in the 80’s at 9:50pm.
At 12:00 am, a different man walked up the stairs of the same house.
* Last week, an 82-year-old man had his watch stolen on 17th Avenue and 86th Street. (See here) Not one local paper reported it, even though the theft was reported to the police!
Why are elected leaders allowing people to stake out the neighborhood and rob seniors? Their silence and failure to act says they don’t care!
No one should be walking around neighborhoods trying doorknobs and walking in people’s backyards.
