Iwen Chu Began the Year Harping on Division Instead of Building Bridges in Brooklyn

Iwen Chu, the newly elected senator in Dyker Heights wrote an Op-Ed to the newspaper to start the year.

Instead of sharing her new office address and the legislation she would introduce, Iwen Chu harped on the election results from two months ago.

Many people voted against Democrats in Brooklyn because they have failed to help people in this community.

Iwen Chu should have called for a meeting with all the elected state leaders for the area. Chu will need both Republicans and Democrats to work together on the bills she will be introducing for the AAPI community and that area of uBrooklyn.

Senator Chu had these plans on her website when she ran for office, so we should see a lot of legislation:

Iwen Chu will need the Republican Assembly members to push her bills in the Assembly.

For years, Iwen was silent and supported Democrat leaders, who didn’t help the AAPI community. Last week, the burnt vehicle was moved to Senator Chu’s area because someone knew she wouldn’t notice OR she would be silent about it (which she has been). (More info)

Finally, Iwen supported politicians that flip-flopped on gifted education and made it an arguing issue between parties, instead of doing the right thing for students. Thankfully, Mayor Adams chose an excellent Chancellor that settled that.

The elections results in Southern Brooklyn should have made politicians take note that press release politics, gerrymandering and pictures on social media aren’t helping Brooklyn residents.

Brooklynites in Southern Brooklyn need help so the voted for new leaders to get help!

Hugs,
marlene
