Coin Counting Machine in Bay Ridge

Scroll down to 4 and 5 for free options

1) Ridgewood Savings Bank has a Coinstar machine at 8522 3rd Avenue (85th Street), but it doesn’t allow people to get free Amazon or any other store certificates.

From the Coinstar machine at Ridgewood Bank, you can only get a receipt to bring to the banker and get cash. If you have an account at the bank, it’s free. If you don’t have an account there, they charge you 9% – see pic below.

TD Bank no longer has the coin counting machines because the bank said the machines were miscalculating and shortchanging customers.

Northfield Bank 8512 3rd Avenue used to allow everyone (even non-customers to use their machine) for free, but now they have this sign that it is for customers only.

2) The check cashing store on 4th Avenue and (Bay Ridge Avenue) 69th Street has a coin machine, but they charge you 10%.  The machine there allows you to pour all your coins in at once and then it calculates it.

3) Check cashing place on 5th and 84th Street  (Bayhurst Check Cashing 8317 – 5th Avenue) they charges a fee as well.

4) Free Coinstar – Stop and Shop  2965 Cropsey Ave, New York, New York 11214 – a lot of people go here because you can get Amazon gift codes from this one.

5) Free Coinstar – Stop and Shop at 625 Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn has a coin counting machine that doesn’t charge a fee if you choose the gift card option. You can choose a grocery gift card and pay for your groceries while you are there.
