I’m so sorry for your loss. I know this whole year is going to be difficult for you. Little things will probably make you remember your father and the strangest memories that you never thought about may come up. After a year, it hurts a bit less.
Your grandmother, Anne Stevens was a big deal in Sunset Park. She ran the OLPH Twirlers and she had a large group of girl (40-50) who twirled batons and marched in parades. My Mom wouldn’t let me join them because she didn’t like the dance outfits, but I loved watching them and your grandmother watching them with so much pride.

Thanks so much for your kind words about Ronnie Stevens , as well as you wonderful tribute to him with photos. It’s wonderful that you knew his mother Ann Stevens. Small world. Ronnie was a great person and father and he was the unofficial mayor of Bay Ridge. Everyone knew him. That’s why he had a big turnout for his wake. Fr Kevin.did a great eulogy of Ronnie at Our Lady of Angels. Your such a great person.
