Did a Man Say “Death to America” in Bay Ridge?

 

We’ve never seen anyone speak like this.

I don’t speak Arabic, so I am not sure what this man said. If he is saying death to America, that is not okay. 

 

 

This video was filmed on 5th Avenue in Bay Ridge (near 71st Street) during  The Palestinian “Day of Rage” on July 1st  – see more here.   

 

It appears to be outside of Al-Noor (see the 99 cents store and the closed grocery store further down. Why did  Al-Noor allow this man to do that?   

 

 

Most alarming is that people repeated his chant. Everyone understands why they said that about Israel, but America???

 

There were forty grassroots organizations at this event (info here).

    if you dont speak arabic how do you know he said that? — also where is the video, i do not see it here, followed the “see video” link too.

    The person who shared the video made their profile private, but this is the same video here

    When I first saw it, I thought someone wrote words on the screen that didn’t match what was being said. I brought my tablet over to a neighbor. He said he the translation was accurate and he wasn’t surprised.

    I also asked a much younger person to interpret it. I wasn’t sure if it was a trend, something being said in social media or maybe blown out of proportion. He said there are a lot of people who feel this type of hate because what has happened to their country.
