30 Street Hotel Became a Shelter
The hotel on 30th Street and 4th Avenue became a men’s homeless shelter. There’s a pandemic going on and the city decided to do something about the homeless.
Many hotels in South Brooklyn hotels have become homeless shelters. There’s no demand for hotels in South Brooklyn, so when people see a new one coming into their neighborhood, they raise hell because they know that some crummy guy is trying to pump money from the city into his bank account by turning the hotel into a shelter.
Today, the people on 30th Street woke up to these flyers. But it’s too late for them. If they didn’t pretend they were Greenwood Heights and bonded with their neighborhood, Sunset Park – they probably wouldn’t be dealing with this now.
Hugs,
marlene

This is coming to Dyker Heights, right across from the new school being built. A hotel has been approved for 634-86 Street. I will bet my bottom dollar it will be a homeless shelter right next to a school.
The homeless need services; but, not right next to a school.
