Tom Golisano Woot!

Who’s Tom Golisano, you ask?

You can read about this billionaire and his political past here,  but the important thing to know is that he is calling for the City Council to vote against extending term limits. Way to go, Golisano!

I bet Mayor Bloomberg didn’t think he would be met with so much opposition on a third term. It’s time for a new beginning Mike. You’ve been a good mayor, but it’s time for someone else to take the reigns. Don’t worry, there qualified people here who can handle the job. Change is good!

Then there’s another knucklehead, Ronald Lauder who’s just making himself look foolish by flip-flopping on the law. Nice reporting by Robert W. Laird of the Daily News!

Hugs,
marlene

Who is a reasonable replacement for Mr. Bloomberg?
I live in Arlington MA, about 2 miles from where his Hizzoner grew up.

As I said in a past post, I’m a Brooklyn boy (and proud of it!) I’m very interested in NYC politics.

Hey Frank! I would say that anyone who is interested in running and has a clean background should run. Now there is a dishonest buffoon in Brooklyn, but he knows that he won’t win.

No one has officially thrown their hat into the ring yet because it is early, but some unofficial candidates who have said they would run are Bruce Blake (Port Authority), Anthony Weiner (from Queens), William Thompson (City Comptroller), John Catsimatidis and Tony Avella (city council member)

At one point Christine Quinn said she would run if Bloomberg’s term wasn’t exteneded.

Some even have said that Raymond Kelly (NYC Police Commissioner), Richard Parson (Time Warner), Susan Molinari (Congresswoman), Joel Klein (NYC Dept of Ed) and even Patricia Harris (First Deputy Mayor) may be interested in running.

I can’t run because I already have the best job in the world!

So are you interested in coming back to NYC and running?
