Police in Brooklyn
I love the men and women in blue. Many of my friends are police officers and really take pride in their work.
But I have a complaint about the undercover officers in Brooklyn. Lately, I have seen many of these police officers in unmarked cars. I am glad they are there protecting the area. Yet, many of them in the unmarked cars, throw on their lights and think everyone can see themĀ the second that they put the lights on. Tonight around 7:00 pm, we were on the Belt Parkway and two unmarked police cars (Impala type cars – one black and one white) threw on their lights behind me and thought I would fly out of their way. The Belt was packed and there was nowhere for me to pull over so that the police could pass. So if you are a police officer in Brooklyn, NY give civilians a minute to realize that you are a copy in an unmarked car so that we can give you the right of way.
During the summer, we were driving on Sixth Avenue and 83rd Street in Brooklyn. A copy in an unmarked SUV threw on his lights and expected Lee to pull out of his way in a second. Lee and I had the airconditioner on and were talking. As soon as we heard the siren, Lee pulled to the side and the officer pulled up and said, he was going to arrest Lee for not pulling over fast enough. We dismissed the cop as just being one of those bad apple type cops. After seeing two more police officers doing the same thing tonight, I am pretty sure they aren’t aware that they haven’t given people enough time to react to the situation.
Hugs,
marlene

Hi..from twitter..I hear you and then some with bad apple cops. They need to count to 10 (relax) before reacting to pulling over or going around civilian vehicles..isn’t that what we teach our kids?…
