John Quaglione – Bay Ridge
When I saw last week’s Brooklyn Paper, the ‘Twitter’ story caught my attention. I recognized the names involved, but I don’t know either man that well. As I read the story, I was annoyed that these two men argued over the littlest thing: Quaglione’s garbage and recyclying weren’t picked up. Now of course that is not pleasant, but here’s why it was SO Annoying -> John Quaglione has worked in Senator Martin Golden’s office for 15 years and has contact to everyone (info from comments of this article), but decided it would be a good idea to complain about the lack of service on twitter.
I don’t know about the rest of Bay Ridge, but I have the cell phone number of the a Sanitation Supervisor in my area so I just give him a call when something doesn’t get picked up and he sends over a truck. I don’t know why Quaglione wouldn’t do the same. He must have established some connections after being in Marty’s office all these years.
So before blogging about it here, I tweeted Quaglione:
Quaglione sees nothing wrong with his outburst because he tweeted this to me:
Other politicians mocked Quaglione’s complaints on twitter – some stated that it was just for attention.
When I saw Quaglione tweeted the article and also posted it on his Facebook account, I shook my head – THIS GUY IS PROUD OF COMPLAINING INSTEAD OF SOLVING THE PROBLEM. Do we really need any more bitties in Bay Ridge?
Quaglione actually thinks this is something to tell people about and isn’t embarrassed for being so silly.
Quaglione is considering running for office in Bay Ridge, yet he can’t handle the smallest problem for himself. How could he help anyone when he doesn’t even know how to help himself? He couldn’t handle my problem which was opened with him on June 27, 2012.
Before posting this, I waited three days. You know after you talk something over with your spouse or friends, you sometimes realize you didn’t do the right thing and you make amends for it. Quaglione did not retract, e-mail or apologize for mishandling our situation at Marty Golden’s office.
Here’s the situation we had with John Quaglione.
Hugs,
marlene
