Amazing Residents Doing TNR on 99th Street

The Toby Project recognized some women in our area for their fantastic work!

Some residents saw that 99th Street had a large cat population. They decided to do a TNR Project there.  (TNR stands for Trap, Neuter and Release).  They fund-raised an made arrangements with the Toby Project (the Toby Project does low cost neutering).

When there are a lot of cats in a community, the best thing to do is to have them neutered so that the colony doesn’t keep growing.  After they are neutered and cared for, they are usually brought back to the block (sometimes people adopt them).

This amazing group of people saw a problem, fund-raised, informed the community and is now capturing the cats for the TNR. These are the people who make this neighborhood great because they care!

You will know that a cat has been part of a TNR Project because one of their ears will be tipped (missing the edge).
