Places that Need Teen Volunteers
1) Owls Head Park always needs volunteers! Post a message here saying that you want to help. They are also able to sign your community service paperwork when you do service hours.
2) Bravo Youth Squad – Bravo is the volunteer ambulance in our area. BRAVO started a teenage group called the BRAVO Youth Squad for teenagers between 14 and 18 years old. Through training, they are prepared to join the senior squad to dispatch and work on the ambulances. They learn CPR, how to take blood pressure and learn how to dispatch emergency calls. Application The youth squad went bowling too. All members of the youth squad get sweatshirts.
3) Volunteer at CHIPS Soup Kitchen – 200 Fourth Avenue Brooklyn Volunteers are needed 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Mon. to Sat.) in the soup kitchen. Orientation is every second Thursday of the month at 9 a.m. and every last Thursday of the month at 6 p.m. No need to book in advance, just turn up at 200 4th Avenue in Brooklyn.
5) Volunteer at NYU Langone Hospital – Students 16 and older can volunteer. (May take up to four weeks to hear back – fill out application here)

8) Volunteer to help at Narrows Community Garden (NCG). If you don’t want to get your hands dirty, but like talking to people – be a Greeter at the Narrows Community Garden.
