Summer!

For a teacher, summer is the ultimate time to relax and have fun!

Waking up late and staying up until sunrise is part of my normal routine. My friends used to call me Sunday Sunrise because each Sunday I’d sit on the front stoop (or in a chair in my bedroom) with a coffee and stare at the sunrise.

But this summer is special. We’re buying a house and I can’t help but dream, look online and browse shops in person looking for inspiration. It’s exciting to walk around with Lee and then sit down and sketch our ideal furniture. So exciting! My soul is alive and so happy.

I hope you are all having a great summer and now that I have to figure out how to enable comment again!

Hugs,
marlene

I can’t remember what link brought me here, but I wanted to say hello and tell you that I’m enjoying your little neck of the woods here!

I’m a teacher, too… tending to stay up into the wee hours of the morning and then sleeping as long as I want to the next day. (I’ve been getting up earlier this week though and enjoying deckview blogging!)

Have a great day…. and enjoy the rest of your summer. (For me, it’s until Aug. 13, then back to about 100 8th-graders for literature and language arts.)

That’s awesome- I lost my job about a week ago, and my “normal” schedule has allowed me to become the total night owl I am anyway!

Before we know it though, lots of new kiddos will be sitting in my classroom eager to learn…it’s going to fly by!
