November 22nd – New York Hall of Science in Queens 2pm- gingerbread workshop. The NY Hall of Science has 1000+ gingerbread houses on display made by John Lovich, a baker (see his creations) who likes to break the world record for gingerbread houses. It takes him 4 months to make all of these houses. $10 for NY Hall of Science Members only Info here
November 27th, 28th and 29th – Santa will be riding the free Sunset Park Trolley from 1-5 PM. Trolley stops at all bus stops.
November 28th – Santa will be in Park Slope at the tree lighting 6:30 PM – Corner of 5th Avenue and 4th Street in Brooklyn – Ornament making, puppetry performance and puppet making, singing, hot chocolate and sugar cookies. More Info here
November 29th – St. Pats Breakfast with Santa – pics and crafts (no link yet). Mass at 9:30 AM followed by breakfast with Santa. $12 per child includes pictures, breakfast and crafts Register here – prepay because this fills up! November 29th – Parent and Child Ceramic ornaments workshop – $30 for Parent and Child – $5 for each additional child (Santa will not be at the event)
December 1st – Owls Head Park Tree Lighting – 7:00 pm (see pic of Santa last year)
December 2nd – 6:30 pm – Shore Roads Parks Conservancy Tree Lighting 90th Street and Shore Road. Gifts for all kids from Santa – Confirm you are going here
December 3rd – Santa will be in Sunset Park in front of OLPH Church – 60th Street & 5th Avenue – Free Santa pictures and goody bags from 3pm – 5pm. Live free entertainment from 4pm – 6pm (music by local school & church groups) and the tree will be lit at 6 PM. Held by the Sunset Park Business Improvement District.
December 3rd – 6:30 PM tree lighting ceremony at McKinley Park- Bay Ridge Parkway and Fort Hamilton Parkway in Dyker Heights. All welcome.
December 4th – Fort Hamilton Tree Lighting and Holiday Market – must register Market 4:00 – 9:00 pm. Santa and his sleigh will be there for pictures. Tree lighting at 5:30 pm

December 6th – 68th Precinct Explorers Group will be having a Christmas Fair at 333 5th Street – crafts, candy, police apparel and gifts. Noon to 4 pm. GIft wrapping – $2 a gift
December 6th – Historic Richmond Town in Staten Island – I hate Staten Island but this is one event worth going for. 11 AM – 7 PM $2.00 a person Under 6 – free. Santa (there was a Mrs. Clause here as well – see pic) will be here. Rain or shine. There are a lot of small houses to go into.

December 10th – Take pics with your dogs and Santa on at Paws Truly 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Also available on Friday December 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m and Saturday December 12th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. See pic here

December 11th – Bay Ridge Library Stuffed Animal Sleepover – (for 1.5 -5 year olds) Drop off on Friday afternoon and pick up your stuffed animal on Saturday. Your stuffed animals are invited for a sleepover at the library! Drop them off at the second floor Children’s Room desk for their overnight adventure*. Make sure you stick around long enough to get them their nametag and tell us what they need to have a good night’s sleep. In the morning, you’re invited for a storytime and snack when you pick up your fuzzy loved ones.

December 12th 11:00 AM Boy Scouts Troop 20 Annual Breakfast with Santa at New Utrecht Reformed Church 18th Avenue and 84th Street. All welcome (sent to me on 11/29). Must purchase tickets before event. Serving French toast breakfast with sausage, juice and fresh fruit. Each child will have their picture taken as they sit with Santa and receive a gift. We will have crafts, face painting and lots of activities. Tickets are: $10.00 for adults . $15.00 for children includes color picture with Santa and free gift. December 12th – Cookie Decorating Class 11 am – 12 pm Choc Oh Lot Plus 7911 – 5th Avenue 718-748-2100 – Children 12 and up because this is an adult class. Register early – If you are seeing this on December 12th, the class is probably sold out. You can ask them to do small classes for groups of children on another date for $20 per child. No Santa.

December 20th – Brooklyn Cyclones Breakfast with Santa at MCU Park 1904 Surf Avenue in Coney Island. Join the Cyclones and Santa Claus for breakfast starting at 11:00 AM. Admission is $10 a person and includes breakfast and a photo op with Santa. They are collecting new, unwrapped toys to distribute as well. December 20th – Saint Athanasius Church Breakfast with Santa Clause after 10AM Mass
December 20th – Cocoa, Cannoli and Cookies with Santa 3:30 pm -5:00 pm at The Kidz Cooking Studio (7921 – 7th Avenue). Santa will be with the Children for an hour and a half reading “Twas The Night Before Christmas” Children will be dropped off at 3:30 pm for a fun hour with Santa sipping cocoa, eating cannoli’s and warm cookies while singing Christmas carols. Parents will arrive at 4:30 to take unlimited pics. $25 a child ages 4 to 12. To reserve a seat call 718-688- 5986.
December 20th – New Utrecht Reformed Church in Bensonhurst on 18th Avenue between 83rd and 84th streets has a live Nativity 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m in front of their church. This event is worth going to because they have real animals – it’s amazing! See 2013 pictures (No Santa)
