    November 18thEmpty Bowls ~ Holiday Edition at the Presbyterian Church from 9:30 am – 2:00 pm at 6753 – 4th Avenue. Buy a handmade bowl for $25. All proceeds from the sale  will benefit the Community Food Pantry at the Fourth Avenue Presbyterian Church, which helps hundreds of people in Bay Ridge and Sunset Park. The last Empty Bowls sale raised $3,400 for the pantry (see here).

    November 18th & 19th – At OLPH Church (59th Street and 5th Avenue in Brooklyn) after the Masses on Saturday and Sunday,  November 18 & 19, the Alsahouri family (Little Bethlehem Christians is a group that represents  Christian families in Bethlehem and make their living as wood carvers). will display a  collection of hand-carved olive wood religious articles.     December 2nd Santa Claus is Coming to Foodtown. Foodtown Grocery Store 9105 – 3rd Avenue will have Santa and a professional photographer at the store from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm to take pictures of kids and Santa. The photos and digital images will be available immediately after the photoshoot. FREE

    December 23rd –  Christ Church A rare retelling of A Christmas Carol – based on the 1938 radio play presented by Orson Welles and the Mercury Theater On-the-Air. This rendition will be set when it first was presented – in 1938 – complete with period costumes and special sound effects.This holiday presentation is a benefit for Christ Church and proceeds go to the Church.
