Designed to lift up and celebrate authentic teen voices, the program invites Muslim youth aged 14-19 to explore identity through the art of theatrical storytelling. Build writing and performance skills, discover different forms that theater can take (including social justice advocacy), learn about different careers in the arts, and immerse yourself in a warm and supportive community of art-makers.

Led by acclaimed actress/playwright Aizzah Fatima and youth leader and cultural worker Aly Panjwani, we’ll dig into tools for writing, scripting, staging, rehearsing, and performing, ultimately weaving our collective stories into a collaborative theater piece, to share with invited guests at week’s end.

NO PREVIOUS THEATER OR PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!”
