Donating Toys for Xmas in Bay Ridge

Here are places you can donate new toys for Christmas:

1) RCS Reaching Out Community Service – 7708 New Utrecht Avenue – helps low-income families in our neighborhood

2) E & J Store is accepting new toys, clothing , baby bottles , pampers, baby wipes and so on. (No food-no baby formula ) 7001 Fort Hamilton Pkwy. Or you can donate to the Go Fund Me

3) Bohemian Rose 8703 – 3rd Avenue is collecting Toys until December 18th for New York Presbyterian Children’s Hospital (info here)

4) Lutheran Elementary School collects for The Healing Center – (This is one of the most important events they host as many families that attend are not able to celebrate in such a way.)

5)  Operation Secret Sandy Clause– Started soon after hurricane Sandy, Michael Sciaraffo wanted to make sure that children received toys. See here too

6) Toys for Tots Donation Boxes – last year Cocoa Grinder  8511 3rd Avenue had a box.

This year Bay Ridge Honda has the Toys for Tots box:

7) The Annual Olicia Boccuzzi Foundation Holiday Toy Drive – dropoff at the Bookmark Shoppe or these locations

(Olivia was a 3 year old who lost her life after battling cancer)

8) John Manning collects every year.

9) Regina Pacis Church at 1230 65th Street is asking people to donate gift cards instead instead of collecting toys or clothes for strangers. They will give the gift cards to families in need. In this way they can preserve their dignity and allow them to buy what they really need, when they really need it.This is totally anonymous giving. No one knows who gave what to whom. If you are willing to help us, just drop the gift cards in the collection basket on the weekends, and we will distribute them. Anonymous generosity is the best kind!

If you have used toys that you wish to donate see here
