Donating Toys for Xmas in Bay Ridge

Here are places you can donate new toys for Christmas:

1) RCS Reaching Out Community Service – 7708 New Utrecht Avenue – helps low-income families in our neighborhood

2) Saint Pats has an Angel tree. Wishes will be available starting on November 22nd.

3) Saint Anselm has a giving tree. Giving tree tags will be available November 16th and 17th.

4) E & J Store at 7001 Fort Hamilton Pkwy is having their Annual Toy Drive/Baby Item Collection.

“From now till December 22nd we will be collecting all donations at E&J Boutique. Please feel free to drop them off anytime between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. 7 days a week. The toy donation drive has started this year we will be collecting toys for all ages , baby wipes, baby diapers, baby formula, and new baby clothing. For the Life Center of Bay Ridge Brooklyn.”

5)  Toys for Tots – drop off at Schnitzel Haus 7319 – 5th Avenue

6) Operation Secret Sandy Clause– Started soon after hurricane Sandy, Michael Sciaraffo wanted to make sure that children received toys. Last year he put out a simple wishlist of dolls, basketballs and other toys – it isn’t up yet for this year, but it was here

7) Toys for Tots Donation Boxes – last year Cocoa Grinder  8511 3rd Avenue had a box.

Bay Ridge Honda always has the Toys for Tots box:

8) The Annual Olicia Boccuzzi Foundation Holiday Toy Drive – dropoff at the Bookmark Shoppe or these locations between November 25th and December 13, 2019.

(Olivia was a 3 year old who lost her life after battling cancer)

9) John Manning collects every year.

10) Regina Pacis Church at 1230 65th Street is asking people to donate gift cards instead instead of collecting toys or clothes for strangers. They will give the gift cards to families in need. In this way they can preserve their dignity and allow them to buy what they really need, when they really need it.This is totally anonymous giving. No one knows who gave what to whom. If you are willing to help us, just drop the gift cards in the collection basket on the weekends, and we will distribute them. Anonymous generosity is the best kind!

If you have used toys that you wish to donate see here

Last year, but no ad yet for this year:

Lutheran Elementary School collects for The Healing Center – (This is one of the most important events they host as many families that attend are not able to celebrate in such a way.)

Bohemian Rose 8703 – 3rd Avenue collects Toys until December 18th for New York Presbyterian Children’s Hospital (info here)
