    Staten Island MakerSpace

This week, we headed over to the Staten Island MakerSpace to learn how to do plasma cutting. It’s a quick ride from Bay Ridge as it’s only a five minute drive after the bridge. The Makerspace is a building with two large rooms divided into several sections. In the first room, there is woodworking […]

Kevin Peter Carroll & The Slap Heard Across the Web

Did you hear it?   I certainly did.       Last November, Kevin Peter Carroll supported Coney Island Councilman Mark Treyger for Democratic District Leader instead of the candidate from Bay Ridge. Mark Treyger loves to play politics.  I contacted Kevin Peter Carroll and asked him not to support Treyger or Assemblywoman Pam Harris (for […]

My father died seven years ago. I am reminded of him almost everyday.   Before he died, he laid in a hospital bed for a few weeks unable to talk. I went and sat beside his bed and said everything that was on my mind. Most people don’t get the opportunity to do this. I […]

Jesus Was More Human Than He Had Ever Been

Usually Easter is the highlight of the whole season, but this year I heard these words and they chimed through me for days:  “Jesus was more human than he had ever been.”   Luke 22:39-46 Jesus went to Gethsemane. He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be […]

    Kulichi – Greek Orthodox Church

I had no idea what paska (also known as kulichi) was until this year. It’s a type of Easter bread that people bring in baskets to Orthodox Christian churches. It was very pretty and different than the way we celebrate Easter.

City Council Election Funding- Money Is Posted Online and there are some Strange Things to Record.

Nancy Tong doesn’t know anyone in the 11209 who cares to donate $1.00 to her being elected here. Charlie Ragusa is funding Nancy Tong’s run. What happened to Colton and Treyger who pushed Tong out into a district she doesn’t live?  It’s obvious Ragusa is clueless to what is going on in Brooklyn.   Drop […]
