RIP Tamika Richards – Killed in Hit and Run in Coney Island

A forty-one year old mother and her 18-year-old son were crossing Mermaid Avenue at West 24th Street in Coney Island on Friday night near 9:00 pm. The driver of a red pickup truck struck them both and sped off. Tamika Richards died. Her son is at Langone Hospital injured. (Info and here) RIP Tamika Richards.

Body Parts Were Found at Coney Island Beach

Part of Coney Island Beach was closed this morning because they found a decomposed leg in the water. (News here) The Post said the deceased is a man in his 50’s. (Source) The news shared that a diver found other body parts in the same location – near the rocks – on Saturday. .
